ITALIAN FLORENTINE TRAY This tray is just lovely. Shades of antique gold/gilt are accented with loads of turquoise and just a bit of tangerine. The detailing is super ornate and just gorgeous. This is one of the very old ones. It has no marks or stickers, but it probably did have a Florentia sticker at some point. It is plaster over balsa wood that is usually referred to as paper mache. It is super thick. The condition is very nice. T are no chips or cracks, just a few specks of paint loss and some scuffing on the back. It has a beautiful patina with the gilt taking on a brassy finish from age over most of the tray. Photos 3 and 4 show it better than words can. It measures 11" by 8". Hint for those new to Ebay: Always insist on close up pictures of these older trays. Ebay's picture service is not the best for detail and some folks take the pictures too far away for you to see the true condition. Most sellers are glad to give you more pictures if you ask.
