Who could possibly need 29 thimbles? Who could possibly want 29 thimbles? Well, a collector of thimbles could. Or, a sewing club could. Maybe, someone who is just learning to sew - many sizes for just the right fit. I know, someone who had thought it might be fun to collect something that would be an easy way to remember trips and people. It would be fun to collect and if you needed a thimble to mend a garment, you'd have 29 from which to choose. They wouldn't take up much room in your purse or suitcase - you know how Dad complains when we load up the car with a whole lot of bags. Does this fit you and anyone you know? These particular thimbles (except one) were collected by a young athlete as she traveled around the U.S. playing Travel Softball for the American Girls Softball League. She may have one from an area you visited and didn't get something to bring back fond memories. Her grandma added a special one the she bought when she lived in Alaska.
