This is a gorgeous little antique tea pot manufactured by the Thomas Porcelain Factory of Bavaria. The design is their Mentone pattern, with light and dark pink roses and buds on a background of dark and light greens, blue green, and mauve. This beautiful design is painted on both sides of the pot. T are also roses on the lid, and one on the spout as well. The bottom of the pot is marked with the Thomas Logo, Hand Painted, and Bavaria. Near the handle on the front, the teapot is signed by the artist: Black. The teapot is a little under 5 inches tall, and 8 inches wide from spout to handle. The person who owned this lovely piece years ago must have loved it for its function as well as for its beauty, for it has been lovingly used. T is quite a bit of wear to the gold on the handle of the pot, the handle on the lid, and the inside rim of the pot w the lid sits. The inside of the pot shows tea stains. Other than this, the piece is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or scratches. T are hand painted white highlights on the edges of the rose petals, and very pretty gold decorative trim w the lid fits on to the teapot. This is really a pretty little teapot!I am listing another Thomas piece that goes well with this one. I show both pieces together in my last photo. This auction is for the teapot only.
