Thomas Patten Stafford [1930] is a retired American Air Force general and NASA astronaut. He is a veteran of Gemini missions 6A and 9A, commander of the Apollo 10 mission and commander of the Apollo-Soyuz mission. The Gemini 6A manned mission launched on December 16, 1965, and the crew consisted of Thomas Stafford and Walter Schirra. The mission achieved the first manned rendezvous with another spacecraft, its sister Gemini 7. Listed for auction is a photograph signed by Thomas Stafford. The image is a rare NASA red serial numbered photograph signed ''Tom Stafford Gemini VI'' in blue felt tip pen. The photograph is a color glossy which measures 10 x 8 inches and the dramatic image shows the rendezvous of the Gemini 6A and Gemini 7 capsules. The photograph has some light edge creases on the white border which are not near the image, trivial otherwise in fine condition. The autograph of general Tom Stafford has become more difficult to obtain. The autograph is authentic and nicely signed on a uncommon red serial numbered NASA photograph. Very nice example. We have listed other astronaut, aviation and military autographs.
