THREE ANTIQUE CUT THROAT RAZORS & CASE I know absolutely nothing about cut throat razors so please bear with me whilst I describe exactly what I see. These came as part of a lot I bought at auction because I wanted the opera glasses they came with. The first razor is a cream material that I would hesitate to say what it is. I don’t think it is plastic but I also don’t think it is i…y. Bone perhaps? I don’t know. It has leaf and scroll carvings on both sides with what looks like Roman emperor style heads. The name on the wide part of the blade is The “Ideal” Razor. Near the pivot it reads Crown Castle either side of a logo showing a crown and a castle. Below this it says Made and ground in Germany. Near the pivot the top of the blade is serrated. The second razor is made from hard black shiny material, perhaps plastic, once again, I am unsure. This carries a gold coloured logo with the name Keystone and entwined CB letters. I can just make out the same logo, name and letters on the blade. Near the pivot it is inscribed Carrick Brothers Cutlers Glasgow. On the reverse it reads, Finest Sheffield steel forged and real hollow ground in Germany. Engraved into the black handle is the name Jackson. There are serrations on the underside and along the two top edges. The third razor is a Bakelite type of material with no markings.
