Up for bid is a very unique, and I imagine extremely rare copy of Joseph Conrads Within The Tides. Printed in 1916 it has been autographed by the author and also includes some unique items: -A letter from Josephs widow to the person who the book was signed for, acknowledging a conversation she'd had with Conrad shortly before his death about the signing. Includes the envelope w/stamp - A photograph of Joseph Conrad sitting in a lawn chair in his garden shortly before his death - Newspaper clipping from the new york post from august 4th 1924, reporting his death -Newspaper clipping from the manchester guardian weekly dated august 8th 1924, reporting his death and discussing his work, full page with a portrait of Conrad - Newspaper clippings have been folded, but are clearly readable. Book is protected by a paper and cellophane book jacket, please e-mail if you would like more or specific pictures An item with this rarity, with the autograph and accompanying documentation will not come along often!
