This Cobalt Blue glazed earthenware Pitcher has been in one family since it was purchased from Tiffany & Co in 1984. It appears in the 1984/85 Catalog. It is one of three pitchers on the page and is by Elsa Peretti. The mark on the bottom reads: "E. PERETTI FOR TIFFANY, MADE IN ITALY. T is a superficial scratch, on the glaze, near the bottom, half an inch long and not easily seen, otherwise, no dings, chips, repairs. Condition is excellent. The handmade qualities of this piece show up in the thinner glaze on handle edges and top edge. This allows the blue color to be seen, which is otherwise intensely dark. The Pitcher is 8 3/4" high and holds 88 oz. This item will have to be shipped separately, not combined with other items.
