Offered for auction is a lovely 24-piece collection, (4 complete 6-piece place settings) of Tiffany & Co.,"Hampton" sterling flatware. Each place setting includes a salad fork, dinner fork, dinner knife, dessert/soup spoon, teaspoon, and flat-handled butter spreader. Monogram: "RJPM". It was purchased from the New York Tiffany flagship store in the early 1970's. It has served me well from Connecticut to Japan, to Hawaii, and safely back home. All pieces are in good to very good condition, polished and shiney, with only time-related wear and an acquired, desirable "butler's glow". However, one dessert spoon has a rare manufacturer's flaw (pit in handle tip) and one dinner knife handle tip shows damage from a garbage disposal mishap! These two imperfect pieces (see photo 4) are totally functional and only slightly detract from the beauty and innt quality. This is a rare opportunity to add to your collection or begin your own. This classic pattern is appropriate for either the traditional or contemporary home. Current retail value over $3,000. An already modest reserve has just been lowered.
