This panel is constructed in a sewn (see pictures) design giving it many added advantages over the lesser quality knotted design. Sewn panels are more durable than knotted panels and won't show holes when it gets wet. Sewn thatch provides for more efficient water run-off and palm thatch is more durable than those other "grass" products. When wet these knots hold water and expand to create holes in your panel, sewn palm leaves act like they do in nature and naturally repel water. Need to trim it to size? No problem. Another advantage of a sewn panel... it can be trimmed and cut without worry of fraying or it falling apart. No need to carefully cut between knots, each panel has twine running horizontally thru the panel to keep the frons together and prevent any fraying. Need to fasten it to a frame?
