ORIGINAL ART CARTOON SKETCH, "TIKI & TOKO", DRAWING BY "JOSÈ VIDAL DÀVILA", PUBLISHED IN THE MAG "MUNDO INFANTIL" (CARTOON MAGAZINE), BY THE "EDITORIAL HAYNES", IN THE 1950's. DRAWN IN FINE CARDBOARD. PAPER SHEET SIZE 5,5 x 15" (APPROACH), FOLDED. The Argentine comics artist José Vidal Dávila started his career in the late 1930s in the Billiken magazine. There, he started out with such stories as 'El Rubí de Ra-Tael' and 'Aventuras de la Rana Charquito'. He drew realistic adventure comics like 'Douglas Watson', 'El Solitario' and 'En Busca del Tesoro Blanco', as well as 'El Capitain Walter, Terror de los Aires' in Fenómeno. He eventually became best known for his humorous series 'Ocalito y Tumbita'. In later years, he alternated humorous works like 'los Mellizos Tiki y Toko' with adventure and science-fiction stories for Mundo Infantil (Ed Haynes) and after in Anteojito (Ed. Garcìa Ferrè) .
