Up for auction is a vintage tin friction Lucky Racer made by Nomura of Japan. It measures about 5 1/2 inches or 14 centimeters long. The racer is complete and in very good/excellent condition. The colors are bright and vivid and the race car looks great from any angle. There is one area behind the driver where the paint has been touched up a little; the vast majority of the paint is completely original. The racer has a great friction motor with a terrific siren sound. The base is in great shape and it still has its little 5th wheel. The little green flag is also still intact. The box is in pretty good condition. The paper label is intact and the graphics are in terrific shape. There is a small hole in the bottom right hand corner of the box and one half of the right hand side flap was missing. It has been mended with another piece of cardboard which varies slightly in color. All in all the box is in good condition. This is a terrific early 50's racer complete with original box, something you don't see every day. It is not perfect but it has so many great qualities. If you love racers, or Japanese tin cars from the 50's, this is a great vehicle to add to your collection.
