A FANTASTIC very early printing of 1918 book! The Tin Woodman of Oz that includes color plates along with black and white illustration; illustrated by John R. Neil. Written by L. Frank Baum. A super Wizard of Oz related highly collectable treasure. Reilly & Lee publisher. The color of the plates is just great and the story couldn't be any cuter, with characters such as Mrs. Yoop the Giantess, Tommy Quickstep, Captain Fyter, and of course the Man of Tin and more.Condition very good/good as shown. Very Unusual to find these books that haven't been abused or colored in. This one is very clean all the way around. Strong binding, bright color plates, no writing or coloring whatsoever, third page has two very old thin pieces tape to strengthen area that showed signs of separating from binding (see photo). This is very old tape and very unobtrusive. Overall, book is in fantastic condition for a children's book of this vintage. It's a beautiful book. Your satisfaction is guaranteed. While this is a very early edition of this rare book, it is not considered to be the "first edition" due to the publisher being Reilly and Lee instead of Reilly and Britton. Priced accordingly. This copy is in Very Good condition for age. Wear with rubbing to the corners and spine ends. Light pen/pencil scribble to front end paper. Hinges are tender.
