'TITANIC' - PLUS 'OLYMPIC' & 'BRITANNIC' SCALE MODELS This genuine die cast model is an authentic replica of the 'Titanic' (s cale 1/1136) It comes boxed & with a 'Certificate of Authenticity' from the 'Claytown Collection' The box has some light wear & the removable collar holding the C.o.A. also has a little wear The actual model of the ship is 22.5cm (9") long I will also include models of the 'Britannic' & the 'Olympic' These both come in plastic display cases The overall size of each case is 19.5cm x 8.5cm x 8.5cm (approx 7.5" x 3.25" x 3.25"). There are minor marks on the cases. Launched in 1911, the 'RMS Titanic' was a passenger liner that struck an iceberg on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City. She s ank on 15 April 1912 , resulting in the deaths of 1,517 people in one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history. The largest passenger steamship in the world at the time, the Olympic- Class 'Titanic' was owned by the White Star Line & constructed at the Harland & Wolff shipyard in Belfast . 'HMHS Britannic' & 'RMS Olympic' were the sister ships of the ill-fated 'RMS Titanic' The 'Britannic' was launched just before the start of the First World war in 1914, & was put straight into action as a hospital ship.
