Up for auction is an antique fencing tool. This one is a CAST IRON SLACK TAKER wire fence stretcher. The only marks found is PAT APD FOR. No other information given in Smith's ID book. Measures 24 inches long. In working order with no breaks or repairs that I see. It is in "as found" condition, so expect the original rust and dust. Once cleaned, it would make a nice addition to your wire tool collection or a neat conversation piece in the antique room. If you have the tool book by Smith & Smith, it is number 437. A low starting price for a good tool. This is one you very seldom see. If you have questions, please ask early. I encourage insurance, but your option. Will combine shipping when possible.
