This a Tony Mackel Horned Toad Zuni Fetish. Mr. Mackel is a member of the Zuni nation and the fetish is signed on the bottom by him. It has been purchase dan shipped to me but has remained in a box in my desk drawer because my collection had grown too large and I lacked display face. Compared to my other fetishes it is large, the base measures 2 5/8 inches in one direction and 2 7/8 inches in the other direction.The toad measures 2 3/4 inches from nose to where it cures down into its tail The fetish measures 1/1/2 inches across the front shoulders.and measures 1 1/2 inches tall from top of carving to bottom of base. It is also heavy enough to use as a paper weight. The carving and detail of the toad is excellent and is , I be;eve an excellent example of Mr.Meckel's talent. he has used the variation in color to add additional detail to the tosd. The eyes are green stone, that i believe are turquoise. I believe a collector will really enjoy the piece. I accept returns for any reason if, the item returned is the item i shipped and in the same condition i shipped it in. I will shipped out insured and if returned the time will be postage prepaid and insured as it was received from me.
