This Japanese toothing plane, or dainashi-kanna (or tachi-kanna) is probably about 30 or 40 years old, and is meant for adjusting the soles of kanna bodies. The oak body has light signs of age and use, but t are no fractures or cracks at the throat. The blade sits very snugly, and so probably will not require any wedging. It is in very good condition, with only a couple of spots of oxidation that could mostly be cleaned up without too much trouble. The cutting edge is quite straight, but will require some sharpening. Body: W2 5/16" (60mm) X L6 5/8" (168mm) X H1 1/4" (32mm) Blade: W1 1/2" (38mm) cutting edge (about W1 3/4" or 45mm overall) X H2 3/4" (70mm) X D1/4" (7mm) General Note about Shipping: This item is set to ship via Air Mail, and should arrive within 7-14 days after being posted.
