ITEM 1: Topix volume 2 #26 (Catholic Press Newspaper Company Ltd.) Rare Australian edition. Robin Forbin-Janson founder of the Association of the Holy Childhood, Cahina - the Christian Queen, story of Father De Smet, Pat McGuire serial (part 7). I grade this issue as FAIR TO GOOD due to overall wear, 1 inch tear into book at spine, 1 inch and 1/2 inch pieces missing from front cover, some stains on front and back covers. Paper is cream. Has all 24 pages (which includes the covers).ITEM 2: Topix volume 2 #27 (Catholic Press Newspaper Company Ltd.) Rare Australian edition. Pat McGuire serial (part 8), Master of Melody (story of Antonio Stradivari), Humpo the camel, Malio's Miracle (wayside shrines). I grade this issue as GOOD due to overall wear, and multiple small stains on cover. Cover has 2 inch spine split. Paper is cream or better. Has all 24 pages (which includes the covers). BACKGROUND: Topix was published in the United States for students in Catholic schools and churches. I am not certain if those comics were exported to other English-speaking areas, however an Australian edition of Topix was published for awhile, probably around 1955, by the Catholic Press Newspaper Company Ltd. in Surry Hills, NSW and distributed to Australia and New Zealand.
