For auction is a Torrey straight razor. This razor was produced in the US, and is a very early Torrey. The grind is heavy but concave, possibly 1/2 hollow?. The razor was washed, sterilized, hand polished, hinge pin tightened, and honed to shave ready condition. Other than that, it is in as found condition. The scales on the toe end is a little distorted, but they function perfectly. This is a fully functional shaver, and shaves very well. Very sharp yet smooth. I will rehone this razor for $19.95 upon request. I can also restore the razor, and place in wood scales for $65 upon request. This razor will shave you for decades. Razor was honed on the Zulu Grey finishing hone, and stropped on .5 micron paste, resulting in shaving perfection. Blade width is a nimble 4/8+. The beginning price reflects the labor of making the razor shave ready. At that price, the razor itself is FREE! ! Just shaved with this razor again this morning and I must say, it provided as close and as smooth a shave as my most valued razors. I will clean it again with barbicide before shipping.
