Eddie Heywood Trio – THE TOUCH OF EDDIE HEYWOOD – Rca LSP-1466 – BD – RARE! This 1958 release features jazz pianist Eddie Heywood playing the same piano Rubinstein used for Rca recordings during this early hey-day of stereo reproduction. The end result is quite sweet, as Eddie and his trio, of Al Lucas on bass and Bobby Donaldson on drums, take on SUMMERTIME, I COVER THE WATERFRONT (great!), ALL OF YOU, PENNIES FROM HEAVEN, MY FUNNY VALENTINE, and JUST ONE OF THOSE THINGS, among others. The best of Heywood, an early Living Stereo issue, in a cover crisp, without fault; record within will play near mint. (Just light paper scuffs in one small area. Should not prove a bother at all.) Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each tafter. (Canada is half that.)
