With it's original plastic clear ALYMER display case, This Miniploms set contains 4 METAL Figures of Military Wargame Historical Miniatures mounted on Base. Made in SPAIN in the late 1960's by Alymer of Spain . This metal figure set # 514 . 20mm scale, a little over 1" inch tall hand-painted metal Traditional toy soldiers still in their original clear plastic display case, the toy soldiers are mounted on a solid plastic base measuring 3" inches in length and 1 1/8" in width. Each display case in labeled MINIPLOMS ALYMER MADE IN SPAIN and fits over each set of historical military minitures. Alymer of Spain was founded by Angel Comes Alymer in the late 1940's in Spain .He created a number of figures in different scales, Miniploms 20 mm scale figures became best known internationally. He made toy soldiers from every period of history, in several different scales. HISTORY DELHI DURBAR The Delhi Durbar "Court of Delhi", was a mass assembly at Coronation Park, Delhi, India, to mark the coronation of a King and Queen of the United Kingdom. Also known as the Imperial Durbar, it was held three times, in 1877, 1903, and 1911, at the height of the British Empire. The 1911 Durbar was the only one attended by the sovereign, who was George V. The term was derived from common Mughal term durbar.The durbar was held to celebrate the coronation of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra as Emperor and Empress of India."Proclamation Durbar", the Durbar of 1877 was held beginning on 1 January 1877 to designate the coronation and proclaim Queen Victoria as Empress of India. The 1877 Durbar was largely an official event and not a popular occasion with mass appeal like 1903 and 1911. It was attended by the 1st Earl of Lytton—Viceroy of India, maharajas, nawabs and intellectuals. This was the culmination of transfer of control of much of India from the British East India Company to The Crown. The British Indian Army, was officially named just the Indian Army, and was the principal army of the British Raj in India before independence in 1947. It was responsible for the defence of both directly governed British India and the Princely states (which could also have their own armies). The Indian Army was an important part of the British Empire's forces, both in India and abroad, particularly during the First World War and the Second World War. The term "Indian Army" appears to have been first used informally, as a collective description of the Presidency armies (the Bengal Army, the Madras Army and the Bombay Army) of the Presidencies of British India, particularly after the Indian Mutiny. The first army officially called the "Indian Army" was raised by the government of India in 1895, existing alongside the three long-established presidency armies. However, in 1903 the Indian Army absorbed these three armies. The Indian Army should not be confused with the "Army of India" (1903–1947) which was the Indian Army itself plus the "British Army in India" (British units sent to India).
