Offered for sale is Item No. 1596 RETIRED ~ 2E / 3566 ~ NO RESERVE Writes the artist, Penny Thomas Simpson , "This Pony has a patriotic theme without the usual red, white and blue, stars-and-stripes motif. What is more American than the apple? Hot dogs, baseball and APPLE pie... I rest my case." Working primarily in watercolors and colored pencils, Penny has won a variety of national awards for her still-life paintings - thus the exquisite realism of the apples adorning her Pony's flanks. This pony is a RETIRED SECOND EDITION, number 3566! She is BRAND NEW in MINT condition and comes with her original box with bag, booklet and styrofoam, but NO hang tag. This pony has been stored since purchase in a SMOKE FREE HOME and has only been removed from its box to take the photos and for inspection. Other than what may be described above, I have looked this pony over carefully and can detect no obvious cracks, chips or other flaws on it. However, it may have minor imperfections that occurred while it was in the retail store environment or show signs of touch-up (as most ceramic and some resin pieces do) that occurred during manufacture.
