Hello, Thanks for your interest. A higher turn motor will have more torque. Lower turn has more rpm at the cost of torque. My mod 550 has more torque plus it revs higher then the 12t titan. Not all high turn motors are created equal. Most rev much to low to have good speed. This is a 550 class motor. No 540 class brushed motor works well in the slash. The slash is heavy. It needs a higher turn 550 size motor to be able to turn a larger pinion gear for higher top speeds. The problem is that other high turn motors have a low rpm. With my mod 550 you get the needed torque while reving much higher then the stock titan. This is the best combo available for the stock slash. With the stock titan 12t motor you can barely turn the option 23t pinion included with the slash and will overheat bashing. With my 21t mod motor and my 9.6v battery you can turn a 26-28 tooth pinion easily for speeds 36+ mph or start with the 23 tooth pinion for bashing. I have tried most of the brushed motors available.
