Lot of two trench lighters, one antique WWI trench art, the other a modern re-creation. Both need flints:1. Trench art lighter made by a soldier out of a bolt and a shell. This is the more complicated of the two styles; it is full of wadding that becomes the wick as you pull it out and has a grooved hole to screw in the flint/striker assembly. The amazing part is ornamental: two coins probably representing the maker's travels are melted into the sides. One is a 1913 Swiss coin and the other is a 1900 coin from Hungary. Amazing relic!2. Vintage-style Re-creation of a Steel Coat Petrol Trench Lighter. It works, just needs a flint.Material : Stainless steel + CopperSize : 64mm x 16mm x 15mmWeight : 31GOriginal WWI trench lighter is in need of a striker/flint unit that screws on top. Recreation is out of flint; simply unscrew casing and insert flint under spring.
