HERE WE HAVE LOT 40 OF MY TRENCH ART COLLECTION. 1914/1919 WW1 THIS ITEM AS BEEN FASHIONED BY A SOLDIER OF THE AUSTRALIAN MILITARY FORCES BETWEEN 1914/1919. WW1 IT COULD WELL HAVE BEEN DONE TOWARDS THE END OF THE WAR AS THE EMBLEM ON THE FRONT AS PARIS INSCRIBE. IT APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN MADE WITH A HEAVY SHELL CASING . AND A BRITISH PENNY AND A AUSTRALIAN MILITARY FORCES BUTTON AS BEEN FASHIONED INTO A AUSTRALIAN HAT WHICH FORMS THE SCREW ON CAP COVERING THE LIGHTER WITHIN. THE AUSTRALIAN HAT STILL RETAINS ITS CHAIN CHIN STRAP. THIS ITEM IS A WORK OF ART.AND NOT YOUR COMMON TRENCH ART TYPE LIGHTERS. THE HEIGHT IS 3"INCHES AND ABOUT 1"1/4 ACROSS. IT STILL WORKS PERFECTLY. BUT I FEEL IT COULD DO WITH SOME NEW WADDING AND A NEW WICK. THIS ITEM WILL ARRIVE WITHOUT FUEL .AND WILL BE DISPATCHED FIRST CLASS RECORDED DELIVERY PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS. THANK YOU.
