After25+ years of collecting Colorado postcards, I have decided to lighten my load and sell cards from my collection. This is a real photo postcard of Commercial Street in Trinidad, Colorado. It is one of two Trinidad cards I am listing this evening. This card was not mailed, but has an AZO stamp box that dates it between 1904 and 1918. Trinidad is in southern Colorado about 70 miles south of Pueblo. At the time the card was mailed, Trinidad was the center of the southern coalfields. The Ludlow Massacre occurred near here in April 1914. The image shows both sides of the street with many readable signs. A trolley can be seen in the distance. A clothing store and a pool hall can be seen on the left. It looks like it might be the Big 6 Pool hall, but I can’t tell if it is one or two signs (see enlargements). There is a large bazaar sign on the right foreground and a Horseshoe Club sign can be seen past the pool hall on the left. The card is in good condition with corner and edge wear (see scans). This will make a nice addition for a person who collects Trinidad, pool hall, and/or Colorado postcards. T he card has been scanned outside the margins so you can see the corners and edges. I will be happy to answer questions. Postage is $2.00 in the U.S., $3.50 in Canada, and $8.88 (my cost) International. I will send the card by USPS First read more
