This trio of primitive folk art Easter egg tiny pillows or bowlfillers were created for the person that wants to add to their country and primitive decor with one of a kind handcrafted items. These are very tiny so I decided to sell the three together. Made with parts of a salvaged repurposed vintage handquilted quilt and embroidery thread, the little Easter eggs on these little pillows celebrate a primitive Easter or spring. I don't work from a pattern and all my designs are sewn freehand so no two of my pillows are ever exactly alike. These are my own patterns and designs and the smallest of them measures about 2 & 3/4 inches by about 2 &1/4 inches and another measures about 4 inches by about 3 inches and the other one measures about 3 & 3/4 inches by about 3 & 1/2 inches. The little eggs were cut out of old vintage cutter quilts and/or quilt blocks and then handstitched using a primitive applique stitch onto the background of the handquilted quilt piece. The tiny pillows are backed with a plain muslin fabric and closed across the back with a primitive cross stitch and lightly stuffed with polyfill. You can still see the old vintage handquilting across the front of these tiny pillows. They were created in my smoke free home.
