After World War II, the Army Transportation Association in Washington hired author Roland W. Charles to write a history of the hundreds of American troop ships that carried uncounted thousands of allied soldiers, sailors, and airmen to the fighting fronts. This auction is for one hard cover copy of that book, titled "Troopships of World War II." This is a first edition from April 1947. It has a dust jacket and is in very good condition. It has 374 pages, including a photograph of nearly every ship. Detailed wartime histories are provided for each ship. This is a great - and rare - World War II reference book! Secure packaging and USPS shipping is $6.00 to US addresses; no international bidders, please. Insurance is required; quote provided upon completion of auction. Seller prefers PayPal, but will accept personal checks (with ten-day wait to clear) or cashier's checks. Please contact me if you have any questions. Happy bidding! PS: Check out my other current eBay listings - I've listed (or soon will list) most of my US Merchant Marine World War II books, plus other Merchant Marine history books from later days.
