Four pairs or eight panels of barkcloth curtains from the early 1950s. Fantastic condition! 82" long x 39.5" wide, pinch pleated tops, fully lined, weighted hem corners, heavy nubby weave. They weigh over 5# per pair! Slate gray with brown cattails, bright green leaves, and spikey maroon flowers. Straw colored cotton lining. No fading, no holes, just a bit age-darkened along the top. Step back a few feet & you won't even see it. Some of the cotton linings have a few small, minor waterstains. One panel has a 1" x3" light stain that blends into the design, and another has a frayed edge along one of the pinchpleats (see photo) that looks like a mouse nibble. It also blends in with the flower. I hung them up in a sunny window, and no imperfections are visible! They smelled like they were stored in a cedar chest, so I had them drycleaned (FYI $25 per panel!). All you need to do is iron & hang them up! For glass collectors: the colorway coordinates wonderfully with 1950s darker Moderntone dishware.I accept personal checks (with a 10-day hold), money orders, and Paypal from US bidders only.
