Nice original Silver with case and extras. Harwood CORNET from the pre war years don't know the year, looks to be 1920s-30s? Has similar look to Conn, water key levers are the same exact?. Instrument is original beautiful silver plate , near perfect valves and compression. Huge noise when a slide is moved, These are interesting horns to play, the best of the cornet sound with that legendary smokey sound. Sounds more like a flugel, very nice mournful tone I find this cornet hard to put down when playing, very fun and easy to play, quite unlike any other cornets I have enjoyed over the years, plays jazzy, smokey, very dark, sounds wonderful when played in a whisper level, can light it up too! Very good valve action, very fast and dead on slotting, all the notes are there up and down the runs, easy!. Valves have very cool art deco look to the guides, in real nice condition considering apparent age of the instrument This cornet has almost no signs of age, one or 2 scratches, all very slight. Overall a very nice horn in unusually nice shape for it's age. Looks to have all original parts in good working order, all very nice. One of the better cornets I have ever played.
