At least 24 US Navy squadrons flew the Bearcat, some until as late as 1952, after which some were sold to the French Air force for combat operations in Vietnam. Another 129 Bearcats were sold to the Thai Air Force. Model Details: Scale: 1:32Wingspan: 337mm Length: 264mm Parts: 366 *Moulded plastic parts with high level of detail and accuracy *This kit is basically the same as the kit 02247 F8F-1 Bearcat with 4 new tooled moulds. *Clear cowling *Detailed landing gear with 3 rubber tyres *Photo etched parts *Superb cockpit detail including pilot's seat, side consoles and film instrument panel *Detailed engine *Authentic waterslide decals *Illustrated assembly guide Decals for the following aircraft, 1) F8F-2, No. 121730, OF VF-151, USS Boxer (CV-21), 1951 2) F8F-2, US Navy No. 122637 98F REQUIRES Glue, paints and tools for assembly. *Kit is new, but it has been on the shelve a while.
