Be sure not to over fill the cup first or you'll have a mess! Seals can be very tight at first --- after all, you don't want them to leak! If you experience this, try a soak in sink of very hot water and them apply the seal. This will help activate the memory of the plastic Tupperware material and you shouldn't have any problem.
