The Turbofan RC Hovercraft utilizes Radio Wave controller technology which gives it a range of about 30 meters and is perfect to zip around inside bathtubs or outside in the pool. You can also use this toy in freshwater ponds or lakes. Also, this rc hovercraft can be used on relatively smooth ground surfaces, and even snow if the snow is packed correctly. While not as powerful as the Mark II hovercraft ( Turbofan Mark II Medium Hovercraft ) the Mark I doesn't have the weight of the 2nd engine so it's a bit more maneuverable. While the Amphibious Hovercraft is a low speed hovercraft that can't really injure people, it does contain small moving parts and is a potential choking hazard. Furthermore, it has a spinning fan that could potentially cause injury if a finger touched them while in operation. For these reasons, I would not recommend use of this toy by anyone under the age of 8 without adult supervision. When powering up your hovercraft, always turn the transmitter on first! I would recommend that you transition from land to water instead of trying to start this hovercraft on water. When I tested that approach, the hovercraft had a hard time stabilizing itself. This hovercraft is rated to operate in freshwater ONLY . I am not responsible if you hovercraft becomes damaged because you operate it in a saltwater environment.
