Turkish Trophies - Hamilton King Girls - Premium Cigarette CardsExtra-large cards (T7) from the series "Hamilton King Girls", issued between 1902 and 1913 to promote Turkish Trophies and Helmar Cigarettes. These cigarette or tobacco cards are generically referred to as "Hamilton King Cards" even though Hamilton King did not furnish all of the designs. These premiums feature magnificent full-color artistic drawings of pretty women.The set is organized into six separate series, each with a different theme:T7-1 "Sketchers" by Artist Hamilton King - issued in 1902, includes sketches of women; 12 card setT7-2 "Girls" by Artist Hamilton King - 12 card setT7-3 "Bathing Girls" by Artist Hamilton King - depicts bathing girls; 12 card setT7-4 "Period Gowns" by Artist Mayer - represents women in period gowns; 25 card subsetT7-5 "Flag Girls" by Artist A. H. Pictures have been framed so the actual lithograph cards are in near perfect condition, although some may have minor condition issues. (Note : T7s are big cards; due to their large size they tend to be subject to a little more corner wear and creases than smaller cards, and were also often tacked up on walls by men, which is why pinholes are so common. ) No holes or wear in any of the 16 framed prints. There are 4 sections: glass, card, fine thin sheet of paper (some with decorative ribbing) and a cardboard back all set into the wood frame. Frames are old and have some scratches, nicks and dings. The glass and frames are dirty and dusty. No cleaning attempts made.
