Nice 8x10 photograph of a Boeing SB-307B Stratoliner preparing for a flight out of Burbank Airport circa 1940s. A production of 10 Stratoliners were built for TWA and Pan Am service. This was the very first fully pressurized production aircraft ever built. Howard Hughes purchased one 307 from Boeing Aircraft for an Around-the-World flight in 1939. During WWII all the Stratoliners went into Military Transport Service and after the War only a few went again into airline service. Only one Boeing Stratoliner survives and now resides in the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum .
