Description: This listing is for Twelve (12) New Classic Fisher Apollo Series Gold Top Retractable Space Pens with a black barrel with a shuttle emblem. The Apollo Series pen feature a metal top and a plastic barrel, as opposed to the all metal regular Cap-O-Matic series. You get the same Anti-Gravity technology in a less expensive body. This pen is carded as shown in the photos. These pens comes with a black ink, medium point SPR Series Pressurized refill installed (#SPR4). The Apollo Series pens are available in Chrome and Gold tops. These pens are made in the U.S.A. The MSRP is $108.00 on the twelve pens. Paul Fisher developed the pressurized ink cartridge for NASA in 1965 at no cost to NASA or the American government and it has been used on every Space Shuttle mission both American and Russian. The refill is pressurized to 35 PSI and filled with a specially formulated thixotropic ink then hermetically sealed so it has a shelf life of 100 years. The Fisher refill will write at any angle because they do not rely on gravity, will write on wet paper, under water, in zero gravity, boiling heat and freezing cold.
