Following a long, very pleasant and informative conversation with Mr Stephen Gaunt we have been advised to change our information as follows. The following buttons are from the J R Gaunt & Son Ltd archives circa 1820-1920. (Not the pattern books)The buttons have been in the possession of the Royal Military Museum at Sandhurst from the 1950"s and the National Army Museum since 1960. Basically the buttons have remained untouched for over 100 years. That is quite obvious from the dirt we are having to clean off but the buttons when cleaned are superb. We managed to purchase almost the entire archive and will be selling over the next few yearsTwenty Vintage Livery Buttons all gilt size around 16mm condition very good to excellent. I have left the final cleaning up to the buyer I have done all the dirty workour ref a Will combine postage for multiple buys Note to overseas buyers using paypalAs the seller is totally responsible for lost or stolen packages.
