About this item: About fifteen years ago I purchased a very large collection of slotcars. This was a well known collection and a great number of interesting, one of a kind pieces in it. The owner of the collection prior to me had a unique relationship with many of the HO manufacturers, and was oftentimes called on to test new ideas, new styles, new chassis and new color schemes. The collection I bought was a package deal, it had lots of brands and lots of variations. It had a ton of Tyco in it.Over the years, I have narrowed my HO collection focus, and I am staying with certain brands and themes I really love (like Riggen, and other brass chassis Brass Wars stuff--see ) so now some of the other items I have been keeping must go to a new custodian! This lot consists of the Factory Made 2:1 Body Mold for the Turbo Train line. The detail as seen at this size is incredible, all the sharp mold lines, the fans, the horns, etc. You can really see the care and attention that went into the production of these. It is hard to fathom how much time goes into creating this type of mold. I do not know if there are others in collections, but this is the only one I have ever seen, and where it came from has indisputable heritage. This is light plastic, like resin but very sturdy. For fanatics only, no idea of the "market value", so just an auction. ..with a buy it now price to encourage offers.. Shipping Policies: My policy is to provide shipping at my cost (without handling fees) any way the buyer prefers. I do not want to profit from excess shipping or packing charges, nor do I want to pay out of pocket if my estimate or if the buyer's estimate of shipping costs is incorrect. For boxed items that dont fit in the USPS provided boxes, I usually use a brand new cardboard box with bubble wrap and/or paper packing. These boxes cost $1 -$3 which is why my shipping costs are rounded up a little bit.Shipping is typically via USPS Priority Mail to the US and USPS 1st Class Mail Internationally. The ebay shipping calculator is not perfect so I reserve the right to modify final shipping charges based on actual delivery address. I ship only with some form of parcel tracking to avoid any Post Office issues. I will have proof of shipping, and if the post office loses the item after I ship it...I am truly sorry, but there is little I will be able to do to help recover it. If the actual shipping amount is less than the estimated amount in the auction , I will refund the difference. If it is more, I will advise accordingly before shipping and ask for additional payment.
