For auction is a neat working TYCO Spirit of 76 Diesel Train Set & Much More in orginal boxes (IOB). Included in this set is the Diesel Alco Century 430 Powered Lighted Spirit of 76 #244 Engine, a Skid Flat marked Western Maryland w/ 3 Tractors #351A, a Box Car marked Burlington Northern 50 foot Plug Door #339E, a Hopper Car marked Burlington non-operating #344b, a Gondola Car marked Union Pacific w/ Pipe load #341B and a 8 wheel Caboose Spirit of '76 #327X. Also included is 2 boxes of track containing 20 pieces, the transformer (no box), a Life Like #08518 wood braced box car marked Virginian, a Life Like #08522 Tank Car marked Gulf, and 11 street lights (see photos). All the packing is orginal in each box and honestly, I didn't take each car out to inspect their condition. All the boxes are in good condition, but the cellophane on the engine box is torn and the Life Like tanker box is missing its packing. By putting 2 wires from the transformer on 2 wheels on the engine, it ran both forward and backwards, plus the light lit up. All the boxes have been opened at one time or another, so I can only assume that someone played with this train set, but like I said, the condition seems to be excellent.
