Here is a bamboo big game rod in restored condition from the legendary Tycoon Tackle Company of Miami, Florida that later merged with the Fin Nor Reel Co. These rods were the be all, end all in fine equipment in their day and used by the likes of Hemmingway, Farrington, Lerner, Glassel, and more. The company spanned the 1930's until the advent of fiberglass rods and the China bamboo embargo of the 1950's. This rod is the HRH rod measuring 78". It has red wraps tipped yellow and is beautifully restored condition. The rod came to me with all the guides missing and only the roller tip. I had it wrapped in the original colors. The Tycoon Tackle Co. label is missing the HRH designation and what should be the jumping marlin. They were not present on the rod when I got it. This rod was custom built for a Sally Prichat for the boat "Silver Streak" (shown) for some of you historians. This is a 30# class rod in my estimation. The foregrip was left alone for authentic purposes and has some separation gaps (shown) Reelseat and butt stainless in very nice condition with no gouges or deep scratches.A nice beautiful example of a classic rod for a good price. Shipping to the the lower 48 states is a fixed $15, which includes insurance for sale price. I will ship anywhere and have, for the extra shipping costs.
