Shown is a rare Type 4 MILLER'S PATENT No.42 BRONZE PLOW PLANE (1876). The Bronze version of the Miller's Patent Adjustable Plow plane was made from 1871 to 1892. This Type 4 Bronze No.42 has all its original parts including the wrap-around fence. All Bronze parts have a nice aged patina, and no cracks or repairs. The cutter adjustment screw with flat head screw in the center has perfect knurling. Not so with the fence screws which have severe plier marks, but they are the original Bronze screws that came with it; not Brass. Only apologies are that "A.D.COLLINS" stamped his name on top, inside the wrap around style fence, and the right side of the tote. The horn of the tote has been re-glued.
