W-108B One of the legendary Austro-Hungarian works on the development of typography, this portfolio was assembled by the art historian Carl Hrachowina, and first published in smaller format in 1882, then in this large-format lithographic edition in Vienna in 1897. Very rare, especially in nice condition, this example looks great but unfortunately lacks only (3) of the original (56) plates. Still a good-looking and very functional reference example, without any of the usual library markings or stamps, in an well-preserved example of the original paper-and-cloth portfolio, with cloth ties.
