OCCUPIED JAPAN U.S. ARMY SLIDE RILE, RARE! Bid invitation is for one U.S. Army Slide Rule. It is in excellent condition; with all original parts which operate perfectly. It has the original black leather with gold embossed letters reading " U.S.", sheath with it (see photos). These were used by American Forces in Korea, purchased by the U.S. War Department from 'The Frederick Post Company' who had them produced in Occupied Japan after WWII in a support role trade agreement to make Japan get it's economy back on it's feet, as were many other products used by 'OUR BOYS' post WWII. Very high quality. It also still has its 'Scale Conversion Reference Tables' attached to the bottom, more often than not, found missing. These were an essential component of the GI's map case, and also were used by Artillery Units in gunnery applications. Photos show condition as best as possible. Allow about one Lb. shipping. Thanks, GOOD BIDDING!!
