It measures 6 1/4 inch tall and it is 5 1/4 inch across the base. It has a crest that says Duty Honor Country West Pont MDCCCII U.S.M.A. and on the top edge it says U.S. MIlitary Academy. On the bottom it is marked Made in U.S.A.. It is a pottery mug and is in very good condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. General Lemnitzer was a 1920 graduate of West Point. We got this item recently from an estate sale in Honesdale Pa of General Lyman L Lemnitzers estate. General Lemnitzer was the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Eisenhower and Kennedy administrations. We are including a reprint from a Memorial Tribute to General Lemnitzer dated 26 May 1989 that includes a short bio. We have described this item to the best of our ability.
