Up for a 3 Day Listing with No Reserve! This ultra rare, Japanese, Naval, Kyu-gunto, Samurai Sword with "Star Plum" Silver Mon and Silver Habaki, is an absolute beauty! The blade is worthy of polish and appears very old with a nice, active temper line. The blade has no bends or twists and shows some small nicks, surface defects and pitting(many more pictures are available upon request). The tang is unsigned with 2 holes. The blade dimensions are as follows: 32 1/4-Overall blade length, 25 1/4-Tip to notch, 7-Tang length, 1 1/8-Width. The silver Habaki is beautifully decorated and is tight on the blade( I did not try to remove it as I did not want to damage it)! The Naval style hilt with silver "Star Plum" mon rates excellent and retains 50% of its gold gilt! The folding scabbard lock functions nicely. The samee handle rates very good with some slight staining and some missing strands of wire. The retaining peg is original to the sword. The scabbard has been lost to time and is missing. Overall, an extremely rare, Japanese, Naval, Kyu-gunto, Sword with Silver "Star Plum" Mon! NOTE: This sword is being sold "as is", please bid accordingly.
