You're bidding on what is generally considered by most Star Wars comic collectors as the most desirable Star Wars comic in existence. While no hard numbers actually exist, Overstreet estimates a mere 1500 copies were distributed back in 1977 to a few select dealers for Marvel to test the waters for a 5 cent price increase. Because of its age, wear and tear, people throwing them out, returns, etc., the number of copies still in circulation is believed to have dropped to nearly one third of the original estimate. This copy has seen some wear and tear, but it's still holding together pretty good. I'm by no means a hardcore comic collector or grader, but I do know my Star Wars. I've attached multiple pictures for buyers to see to try to give an accurate representation of what you're going to get. The cover does have a fairly obvious crease and some wear from it in the middle upon inspection, but the inside and back are both in excellent shape. The staples are held fast and the pages are probably a step down from off-white. I picked this copy up a while back from a dealer and am forced to sell it now to help pay living costs.
