Epoch: Unknown to MEP Location and Collecting data :- Country:- Morocco Region:- Unknown to MEP Formation : Unknown to MEP Specimen / Matrix Size :- 50mm x 50mm / 100mm x 100mm Specimen Detail :- Offered is the ultra rare and highly sought after sagittapeltis from morocco this specie has only been coming out of morocco over the last couple of years and are still a real find to see one we believe this is the first ever to be offered on e-bay we have had only 4-5 in the past and we have never been able to put one up for sale on e-bay (they sell out straight away )this specimen is in very good condition with it been complete and 100% genuine From the occipital ring t is a nice complete median spine. From the centre Palpebral lobe margin are two complete spines these still have some matrix surrounding them all in all a stunning example of a very unusual and rare trilobite Postage details :- $12.00 for Europe and $15.00 for the rest of the world Due to ebay we are only able to put 5 small pictures with our listing. We have been asked on several occasions about w and how the Moroccan trilobites are found, this description is by no means true of all bugs, but gives a little insight in to how a lot are found They are dug from the south Atlas mountains, t the locals remove huge chunks of rock, some times dynamiting to get in, theses are then transported back to the workshops w they literally break it up into smaller boulders, as they do this, they are constantly looking for tell tale signs of fossils, mainly through shear planes across the trilobite that look like this } (a section through the body), they then remove an amount around the two halves, glue it together and then with various equipment, remove the matrix back to the fossil, as they chip it back, the matrix, splits away from the exoskeleton and thus revealing the bug. CLASS : A : Museum Grade B: Professional collector C: Collector High Grade D: Collector Medium Grade E: Collector Grade F: Starter GRADE: A: No Scratches to surface No missing Exoskeleton, eyes if applicable exceptional. B: Small scratches, nicks, minor exoskeleton material missing, eyes complete and lenses highly visible up to 90% undamaged. C: Small scratches visible, missing exoskeleton or semi disarticulated segments, eyes damage, 50-90% complete lenses. Some enhancement may be visible on spinal terminations. D: Very visible scratches, visible damage, eyes if applicable between 25% and 50% visible. Very probable enhancements to spines.
