Clearing some space up in my studio and selling a few things I don't use. This is a rare piece of music and computer history, the Yamaha C1 music computer. This machine was used by many famous artists including Kraftwerk back in the day. This little beastie was considered portable, a laptop, back in the late 80's. It's basically an IBM PC based multitrack MIDI sequencer that runs DOS and Voyetra's Sequencer Plus software for DOS (still available for free as download from turtlebeach). This unit has four MIDI in/out ports to run synths, samplers or whatever. This unit looks mint, seriously, looks like it has never been used. Comes in an original embroidered tote bag made for the unit. Bag is a little dusty from sitting around but unit is clean. It boots into BIOS, floppy drive checks for a disk, and BIOS screen says it can't find a disk (probably because there's not one in it). I can hear the hard drive spin up inside. I believe the machine is meant to boot from floppy (not certain, though). The screen is a monochrome LCD and works fine, plenty readable with adjustable contrast. Selling for parts or repair because I don't have software to boot it fully and cannot test it any further than what you see in the pics.
