UN-NAMED Est 12in (300mm) f8 Rectilinear design Brass lens with & Iris Diaphragm & Flange. An interesting large format lens probably dates from early 20th Century; coverage would be for formats to 10x8. The lens has an estimated focal length of 12 inches; the f-stops range from f8 to f44 set in an iris diaphragm. The lens is quite compact and measures approx 9.5cm long including hood depth of 2cm . Condition is generally good, clean looking brass barrel, showing signs of light ageing and slight tarnish marks – but just light, there are no dings or dents. Optically the glass looks good and is clean, except for some small clear circular patches on read glass – free from scratches, fungus and clouding. The iris blades are tidy but dull looking, It give a nice circular aperture down to f44 – but makes Flange size is 7.5cm.
