UN49 Indian Nepali old Vintage Coin Necklace 24 from Nepal by Eksha Limbu Description This vintage necklace is made of old antique Indian 50 paisa and Nepali One Rupee coins from India. Approximately, the size of coin is 24x30mm. They are 35 coins. It is 24 inches in length and weighs 206gms (7.3oz). Jewelry Background: This old ethnic coin necklace is worn by women from different ethnic groups of Nepal such as Limbus, Rais, Tamangs, Sherpas, Tharus etc. from many centuries. The necklace which is made of old coins is called “Reji” in Limbu language (one of the ethnic languages) . Moreover, this vintage necklace is found in personal collection, in museum and in celebrities’ choice. These days, we have seen these vintage coins necklace even in celebrities’ jewelry collection such as Kate Moss, Madonna to name a few.
