This publicity portrait of actress Una Merkel is from my collection of vintage press photos that weresent to a Chicago news publication, w one of my relatives worked, to promote actors/actresses and their films from the mid 1920's until 1933. These are all ORIGINAL VINTAGE PRINTS - NOT REPRODUCTIONS. The photo is approximately 8X10 inches and is in overall fair to good condition with minor surface wear/ink smudges expected from a working photo of this age. The edge wear is evident with bits of the white margin are missing in 2 places the right side and an approximately 1 inch by 1/8 inch piece on the left side (see scan). T is a discoloration along a triangle of 1/8 by 2 inches in the lower right corner. The upper left corner has been bent and reflattened once and the bend is visible if viewed from an angle. None of these impact the sweet image of the actress and would not be visible if framed. In the lower right is the designation: Una Merkel #11. Handwritten on the back is: Una Merkel 1931-32.
